  An excellent map showing active volcanoes, plate boundaries and names, trenches, ridges and the 'Ring of Fire'. It's in colour too.

  This site takes a different approach to tectonics. It explains the history of our understanding of the Earth and provides a brief overview of the theories behind our understanding.
